The spacious complex is a green island in the middle of the town, situated in the valley of the Arrone mountains and in a medieval castle, built on a rocky spur.

Its backdrop is the Valnerina, which boasts an uncontaminated environment characterised by the flow of the Nera River. Since 1995, the Valnerina has formed part of the Natural Parks system, called the “Nera River Park”, in the Umbria Region.

The environment is characterised by hundreds of shades of green which vary from season to season and can be seen in the woods and Mediterranean scrub as well as in the water of the lakes and flowing waters which enrich the area.

Along the valley, one can admire magical surroundings which are bound to charm you. The very well-known Marmore Waterfalls, picturesque Piediluco Lake, Ferentillo Mummies and abbey of San Pietro in Valle are all worth visiting.

In the town itself, the Castle (the tower, St. John’s Church and ancient alleys), Santa Maria Assunta Church (rich in precious paintings) and St. Francis’ Convent are recommended.
